Commercial Description:
This Beer is bottled in 500ml SCHNEIDER bottles.
This unique beer is the result of the long friendship of Schneider brewmaster Hans-Peter Drexler and Brooklyn brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The two brewmasters feel that Schneider & Brooklyner Hopfen-Weisse represents the quality, tradition and terroir of the Bavarian Hallertauer hop region paired with the innovation and creative energy for which Brooklyn is famous.

Brooklyn collides with Germany and a cloudy golden plum results in a watery form filling a pint glass. Well balance hopfenweisse is not to sweet balance with lemon and malt. Finishes with a little chalky and a hint of alcohol.

Cloudy yellow colour, small white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is sweet and very hoppy with distinct notes of lemon, wheat and bananas. Flavour is also that full of lemon and hops, refreshing but with a bite, very enjoyable. The mouthfeel is crisp with small lively bubbles. This is like no other weissbier I’ve tried and i like it!

Pours milky honey gold with a 3 finger pillowy white head that has decent retention. Aroma is citrus hops, floral hops, lemon oil, wheat, a little banana, a little sweet grass, some peppery yeast and sourdough, more citrus and a hoalthy dose of ethanol comes out as it warms. Flavor is sweet wheat, soap, overripe banana, lemongrass, orange and cranberry muffin, white grape juice, some bitterness and sweet floral notes. Finish is more soap, citrus, moderate bitterness, and weak bready notes. Palate is medium body, somewhat chalky, dry and has a slight ethanol burn. Overall it’s a good brew, but not what I was hoping for, a little too much soap and ethannol.

Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX. WOW...this caught me off-guard...Pours a cloudy orange with thick creamy head. Aroma of lots of citrus hops with a malty, fruity back bone. Flavor was a palate shock, take an IPA and pour it into a Hef. Very light tartness, strong hop flavor with a sharp citrus and noticeable bitter, lots of malt and fruit, alcohol. Mouth feel is very soft but yet heavy, medium carbonation. Overall, really wasn’t sure how to rate this, completely different from any other beer I have tried.

Bottle. Pours murky yellow with a medium white head. Banana bread aroma and flavour, spicy yeast and some soapiness as well. The banana wears thin as the beer progresses and results in more citrus flavours than anything else. Slight spicy, hoppy finish. It’s OK but unfortunately the bottle has taken on some off flavours and a touch of acidity. Cheers to Stew & Chris for the bottle.

Like a soapy apple-juice, this beer is either oxidized or naturally horrible. It tastes like a green-apple scented dish washing detergent. At least they won’t need to clean the glass afterward. Bottle at Abraxas Lounge, Miami Beach. Kind of like the watered-down apple juice from the dispenser at the Holiday Inn Continental Breakfast. Caca.

Bottle, 500ml. Pours marmalade in colour, with initial frothy head, since dissipating. Extremely fruity on the nose, with citrus and banana predominating. Aromatic on the palate, almost perfumed, with hops and yeast surfacing through the citrus and banana, with hoppiness to an almost IPA degree. A very successful fusion of styles.
