Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose. Flavor is sweet yeasty caramel, clean finish. Cellars well, brewed 2004. $6.75 for a 500ml bottle from a Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, ME. sdriessen (203), Dunedin, New Zealand Jan 19, 2009 Gift from donfardz64.
Pours a dark brown/amber hue, nice and cloudy.
Complex aroma of wheat, caramelised banana and sweet malt. Dates and hints of toffee. A Strong, milk chocolate aroma engulfs the nose each time you go for a sip.
A beautiful, balanced sweetness and rich, rich flavours. These rich and complex flavours begin with spice that, along with the carbonation and alcohol, warm the palate nicely.
Through the spice (such as clove, cinnamon and allspice) comes immense toffee malt flavours, along with milk chocolate dancing with caramelised banana.
Wheat and bubblegum and mild bitter hops are present.
The alcohol is only moderately present, and seems to fix the flavours onto the palate.
Has a creamy, smooth mouthfeel that’s perfectly suited to the flavours, and has a great, long lasting finish of toasted malt. Gorgeous! greenhorn1 (458), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jan 18, 2009 Bottle (2004). Pours a clear, beautiful ruby, thick head from the medium to high carbonation. Aroma is fruity and hints of clove. Flavor is fruity, hints of vanilla and clove, mild spices (maybe some pepper). Very smooth. Alcohol gives a nice subtle warming sensation. This is an excellent beer. Gout salé, sucre à glacé, épices et un semblant de gomme baloune et crémeuse. sixfootsix (13), Franklin, Tennessee, USA Jan 14, 2009 The beer had a little to much fruit for me. Has a orange pour little noticeable nose. Raisin to the taste.
