Homer321 (127), Rockledge, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Smells slightly metallic and slightly sweet smell as it warms. smooth, sweet, slightly milky taste that is very rich. A nice balance of wheat and fruitiness with darker ans sweeter flavors as it warms. A very nice beer. I only wish it were lower in alcohol so I could drink more! ericandersnavy (1038), crossroads, Texas, USA Nov 20, 2008 bottle picked up at metzlers in denton, tx. poured a cloudy brown with an off white head. aroma of caramel, floral notes, spices, and fruits. flavor had some caramel, dry spice, and alcohol. overall i was not real impressed, maybe it was past its prime. will have to try again. moseslikesbeer (183), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. aroma of spice, yeast and fruit. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt, also picked up the authentic glassware pictured to the left. Pours a crisp cola brown color. Aromas of clove, banana, fruit, and alcohol. Flavor is alcoholic clove and spice with a bittersweet finish. Good beer! MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 30, 2008 bottle. Pours a dark cola color with a large off-white head. Nose is of spices, bread and banana. Taste is nutty malt, bread and dark fruit. Complex brew. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonated. Very nice. rayOfBeer (316), El Cerrito, California, USA Oct 29, 2008 Poured from bottle a hazy brownish-copper with a large light-tan head. The aroma is fantastic with sweet and spicy notes of clove, rising dough, yeast, and a touch of banana. Flavor is heavy with spicy clove, caramel, yeast, bread, orange rind, a mild touch of sweet banana and honey. The palate runs from sweet to tart with a good carbonation tang that keeps the sweet notes from over-powering the brew. I can’t say enough how much I liked this beer. It was fantastic. If you like weizen beers this is one not to be missed. How did it take me so long to try this one? adamlangolf (21), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Oct 29, 2008 My favorite german beer without a doubt. I prefer American Wheat to German Hefe & Weisse beers...but I absolutely love this beer. I have yet to have a Weizen Bock that is better. You will love the mixture of wheat and caramel/scotch malt flavors mixed with chocolatey prune boldness. Just amazing...try one today! SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2008 This poured a murky copper to brown in color with a moderate extremely bubbly head that dissipated quickly. The nose is semi-sweet and filled with banana, wheat, malt and chocolate with a touch of raisin and spice. In the mouth it was medium-bodied, rich and concentrated showing the sweetness from the mouth. This had great balance with fresh carbontaion and a lingering finish. There is nothing out of place in this one it is just enjoyable from beginning to end.
