Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Aroma: Caramel, banana, cherry. Some brown sugar, clove. Appearance: Beautiful large creamy head. Off-white. Head lasts forever. Murky purplish beer. Superb wheat taste, moderately sweet, some plum, cherry. Super thick body, soft carbonation. Superb example of a weizen bock.

Possibly my favorite ever. Poured into a Celebrator glass. Poured a hazy brown color (really did look like crap) with a huge and sustaining tan head. Aroma was of bananas and cloves with some wheat. Cloves dominated the aroma. Flavor was caramel and bananas with a decidedly sour flavor at the end. Body was full with high carbonation. I think I may have discovered my favorite beer. Love this beer.

Pours deep amber-brown with copious off-white head that really sticks around. Really unique aroma of spicy bananas. Creamy mouthfeel with a nice, clean, balanced taste with hints of fruit and chocolate. Leaves a pleasantly bitter lingering sensation.

The colour of this Weizenstarkbier, Dunkle, is bloody weird, a mix between a real shitty sewage water with a vaguely green tint to it, like the mud banks of the River Avon! It is the colour that really put me off before I tried. It is a dopplebock, twice brewed to make it stronger. I didn’t read the label and was taken back by the strength. It is a flavoursome brew which has a complex spicy chocolate-like aroma with a hint of banana and raisins. On the palate, you experience a soft touch and on the tongue it is very rich, though fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes in a rich soft and lightly bitter impression.

(bottle) beautifully murky dark mahogany colour with a huge off-white head. aroma is dominated by gorgeous banana esters, with notes of vanilla, sweet spices and faint alcohol. flavour has all the sensations from the aroma along with caramel, chocolate and roasted components. alcohol is not detectable, but the finish is warming. strong, full body, mild carbonation - very mellow. a superb brew.

The aroma was like some exotic over ripe fruit fermenting on the damp ground in a dark forest. The flavor added a sour malt/sour mash liquor flavor. Very luxorius feel in the mouth. Definitely a beer to turn to in this category.

Murky brown with big bubbly beige head that quickly thins. Love the thin lines of bubbles going up the glass. Strong yeasty banana aroma. Strong bubbly malty, dark fruit, banana, spicey, yeast taste.
