Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

A clear dark amber colored beer, with a huge light beige foamy head. An aroma of roasted malts, cloves and some sweet caramel. The taste gives a nice mouthfeel, with notes of clove and caramel with banana tones. A very nice beer.

5/1/08 notes: From oversized bottle. Appearance is a very cloudy dark amber brown with a two-finger lasting head. Scent of caramel, malt, wheat and banana. Flavor is a mature blend of caramel, toffee, wheat, dark malts and ripe banana. Very smooth and tasty, both qualities enhanced by the small-pearl carbonation. This distinctive “champagne” carbonation really opens up the dark robust flavors in your mouth. Finishes sweet with unabashed alcohol flavor, yet the whole package works so well together. This is an excellent beer, a great example of the style.

Poors murky brown with an off white head that lasts impressively. Sweet citrusy/wheaty aroma. Full bodied, but smooth despite ample early carbonation. Caramels and citrus, along with wheat and yeast, dominate the flavor. Great balance between sweet, sour, and bitter. Smooth finish with a lingering spice flavor and a hint of bitter. Amazing beer.

Bottle. Complex appearance: cloudy, rich brown. The head is intense and overflowing. Aroma is very spicy and yeasty. Tastes sweet like caramel, with hints of berries and a lot of spiciness. Complex but with a smooth finish and a strong but not overpowering aftertaste.

Dark amber with much head. It’s a weizen bock and so much more. Complex array of flavors, especially toffee, fruit, and spice. Bitter and sweet at the same time. Epic drinking experience as far as I’m concerned.

My 500th beer on ratebeer.com, wow that was quick. Not much better at writing up these paragraphs than I was a few months ago. Dark amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of banana, clove, caramel and sweet malts. Taste of banana, fruit, caramel, sweet malts and light clove. Creamy and smooth with a spicy finish. Good stuff.

Amber colour, medium white head. Aroma has yeast, malts and some spices. Flavour is spicey and of dark fruits. Complex beer.
