llcooldave (309), San Antonio, Texas, USA May 9, 2008 Amazing clove aroma right off the bat. Wonderful cloudy copper color with a really foamy head that overflowed (pour down the center my ass!). Nice sweet bready flavor with a touch of bananas. A slight bitter finish as it goes down. Nice... A bit too perfumery for my taste but overall it is very nice. Rciesla (3510), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA May 9, 2008 Updated: May 20, 2008Bottle. That glass looks very phalic, i had one, i gave it away, the idea of putting that to my mouth, eh. Ruby grown pour with off white large head. Falvor is spice, caramel, fruit. Great beer. Surly (19), Michigan, USA May 7, 2008 Poors a dark copper, huge thick head. Low carbonation and no lacing. Smells of malt, banana, clove and pepper. Medium body, smooth and well rounded with some nice banana, not bitter but a nice long lasting kick that trickles down your throat. After taste is spicy and warm. Very nice. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 Bottle courtesy Naka. Pours brown with amber hues, one finger, off-white head, dissipates quickly. Nose of brown sugar, banana and spicy clove. Banana wheat taste with barley wine notes, bread and caramel. Slight hops, good mouthfeel. Very tasty brew. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA May 6, 2008 I love this beer, always have, but had always had it out of the bottle, until I found it on tap @ a Mellow Mushroom. Wow, pours a deep burnt auburn color with a 3 finger cloudy puffy head. Absolutely delicious, lots of toasted cereal maltiness, a bit of burnt caramel, and lovely yeastiness, banana and clove, some warming alcohol in the finish. Just this side of being a perfect beer. LucasOliveira (7), Bauru, Brazil does not count May 4, 2008 50cl Bottle. Hazy brown color with a big and persistent nice head. Sweet malt , fruit , and yeast aroma. Full bodied and low carbonated, with long yeast finish. Sweet malt, yeast and very fruit flavor with notes of toasted malt ; alcohol is perceived. Very balanced Beer ! The best weizenbock of the world ! WesKBob (317), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA May 4, 2008 Updated: Jul 29, 2009Pours a deep reddish brown color with a one-finger head. Head dissipates fairly quickly. Wonderful aroma of sweet malts, wheat and some fruits. The flavor is similar, only better and fruitier. The flavor is actually similar to a trappist, with a wonderful yeast and sweet fruit flavors. The palate is fizzy but very warming. Very simply, a great beer. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA May 4, 2008 Shared with dpjuart. Pours a deep amber brown color with a 2 finger off-white foamy head. The nose is figs, fermenting crab apples, spicy yeast, and brown sugar. The taste has a solid fruity yeasty flavor. A small amount of roasted character underneath everything. Rich creamy mouthfeel. One of the best wheat beers I have ever had.
