Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Bottle. Dark brown/red color. Aroma is banana, some spices, bubblegum, caramel. Tastes pretty much is the same. Compared to other darker weiss beers, the spices are a bit subtler. palate is pretty light. I find this beer exceedingly easy to drink and very satisfying.

Not a big bock fan in general. Dark color with loads of malt, sweetness, and fruityness. It actually does a lot for the style.

Bottle. Aroma primarily candi fruits with hints of caramel and spices. Flavor brings out more spiciness, including a distinct BBQ edge for me. As the body warms, more and more complex wheat flavor comes out, truly solidifying this brew as world class. I’ll be picking up a few more of these at my first opportunity. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium-sized white head. Aroma of light fruits and some BBQ sauce, if you search for it. Taste of bubblegum, spices (clove), and some vegetable. A very good weizenbock, although I’m not sure I’m a fan of the style as a whole.

Bottle, Pours a cloudy dark brown that appears lighter at the bottom then the top with a nice white head. The aroma is of complex spices and sweet malt. A great flavor for this amount of alcohol. A little heavy on the stomache since it drinks like a meal but I would recommend this one to anybody.

2002 bottle. Pours a dark brown amber color with fluffy white head and lots of yeast chunks floating around. Aroma is very spicy with belgian spice, raisins, clove, brown and candied sugar. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Soft carbonation and chewy finish. Wasn?t feeling this one.

A 2002 bottle. Pours an amber brown color with tons of particulate and a medium white head. Aroma is spices, banana, candied sugar, and raisins. Tastes as it smells. Pretty good but nothing special........maybe I don’t care for the style.

On tap at The Blind Tiger in NYC. Roasted and fruity at the beginning, with a slight spice and sweetness in the finish. Its very refreshing, high in flavor, and complex.
