Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Hazy dark brown with a huge dense head. Sweet aroma of banana and spices. The flavours are just amazing: toffee, roasted malts, banana, tropical fruits along with some spices, all in a perfect mix.

Pours dark cloudy amber brown. Aroma of fruits, banana caramel, and bread. Flavor of figs and wheat. Very complex and delicious. Alcohol well hidden. Excellent beer!

Pour: Dark mahogany brown with a nice off white head. Nose: Banana, toffe, wheat, cloves, caramelized malt, dried fruit, molasses, and hints of raisins. Taste: Banana, toffee caramel and toasted malt, wheat, coffee, fig. Body: Medium to heavy Finish: Sutle bitterness that is well rounded, which helps blends the alcohol to a seamless beer.

2008 Bottle @ Bardenay - This was an enigma of a beer, aroma of dried fruit and brown sugar, taste was of malt, yeast and old raisins and cloves, alcohol was well hidden and this was a treat for the senses, very nice, would drink again

The beer pours a little cloudy probably because of the protein rich Wheat, the alcohol leave long legs on the glass, the aroma is amazing with Cloves and Bananas, the palate is full bodied even with all the alcohol, no hop aroma or flavor to speak of.

4/2/2008 bottle wrapped in a fancy paper dated brewed in 2003 with a tag stating this is part of a yearly release of 240 cases they hold back and release after three years. color is a reddish amber with a quickly fading head and good carbonation. aroma is plumb, spice, and yeast. taste is malted with more acid but the flavor has mellowed and blended nicely. less creamy texture and the dry finish has backed off quite a bit. i love the fact i can go to the store and buy a five year old bottle and a new one to compare the two.

3/31/2008 bottle fresh from the store poured a dark amber brown color with a thick one finger light tan head with great retention. carbonation is medium and the aroma has yeast, plumb, spice, wheat, and sweetness. the taste is heavily malted for a wheat beer with a nice creamy mouth feel. wheat and spice mix well with layers of sweet fruit and banana. finishing with sweetness on the sides of the tongue and drying in the middle. really a tasty beer with loads of flavor and incredible balance.

500 mL bottle. Pours a clear dark amber color with a large light tan head. The aroma is banana and clove. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is raisin with a dry finish. Hides the alcohol well and easy to drink. A very good weizen bock from Schneider.

Truly impressive complexity of flavor - the wheat is so subdued as to fade into the background, and yet still be detectable. Above all else this beer is balanced. Despite all the gently clashing notes of fruit, yeast, and candy this beer never overwhelms in any one dimension. Conducive to savoring and introspection.
