Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

50 cl bottle...Nice reddish brown w/ a fizzy white head. Nose was very heavy on molasses, caramel, and dough. The flavor was of caramel, and dried dark fruits. Very sweet , light and short finish. Overall, a very drinkable beer.

50 cl bottle. More brown than ruby in color, and nicely hazy with a generous off-white head. Aroma is subtle to me, more so than expected. Nice carbonation and lovely mouthfeel. Well balanced overall. Caramel malt, slight cloves, dried fruits, even banana bread (as my wife pointed out) on the back of the palate. Pleasant sourness. In a word: delicious.

50 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy light brown with an off-white head. Wheaty, fruity and mild grainy aroma. Clove like flavour embedded in a solid wheat flavour, light caramel malt and a lingering almost dried fruity note. Ends with a lingering caramel malt and wheaty blend, mild note of spice inbetween. I like the way the wheat is downplayed - but it is still a wheat beer more than anything else.

Pours like a dream with enough head, but not too much. Beautiful smell and texture to the beer. If you want to get a healthy buzz going on with just a few pick this up. Fair warning: this perfect beer comes at a price. But truely one of the best German beers out there.

Bottle. Pours barely translucent, hazy ruby brown. Aroma is spicey, mild yeast funk and wheaty grain. Definite fruit notes in aroma, as well - cherry, raspberries, some sour fruit. Flavor is soft bread, fruit notes of raisin & citrus peel, slight sweet, light nuttiness. Finish has mild alcohol, light bitterness and doughy flavors. Extremely well-structured beer.

Wow. This is a phenomenal beer. I thought I had good Weizenbocks before this one... dang. Malty aroma with some fruit in the flavor profile. I can taste the "sour impression" in the finish. Great beer.

A dark brown beer that’s cloudy with a large off white lasting head. The aroma is thick and malty, fruity and a little spice with a hint of cocoa. The flavor is strong and like dark wheat malt and spice and chocolate with a hint of alcohol. The finish is a little hard. No lacing on the glass.

Pours dark ruby with BIG lasting head. Impressive appearance. Mostly wheat and somewhat malty aroma. Nice rounded fullness for something so wheat-y! Like Dirk Nowitzki, it is a great German creation!
