Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

A cloudy dark brown beer with a nice looking 3 finger head. Aroma was spicy & complex almost like spicecake. Taste was banana, chocolate, spicy, & bready with a cake like taste, & undertones of wheat. This beer really looks good in the glass & dazzles with a lot of carbonation activity. I do not know that much about bocks but this is my favorite, & probably one of the best in the world.

Body dark red color with a huge head that disappears extremely quick. Very weird, no head left at all and lacing is nowhere to be found. Smell is different and complex. Notes of caramel, chocolate, raisins, plums, and licorice. Taste was about the same. Not too sweet and has some bitterness in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is like a cream soda in a way. Pretty dang good beer.

Had side by side with the Eisbock... slightly lighter in color than the Eis. Aroma is clove and dusty/champagne with fruit esters and bubblegum. Flavor is strangely inviting, like a deep hefe with hints of Belgian Ale... YUM!

Pours dark amber with a puffy off-white head. Aroma of yeast, cherries, honey, and roast malt. Taste is a perfect balance of caramel malt and wheat. Sweet but also very rich and dynamic. Full bodied and creamy. God bless the Germans.

Colore marrone scuro(scurissimo!).Schiuma cremosa e aderente ,frizzante e leggermente densa, buona persistenza.Ricco e speziato l’aroma. Gusto tostato e leggermente amaro. Finale lungo e piacevole. Notevole tenore alcolico, molto equilibrata. E piacevole da bere...e ri-bere!

Bottled - deep color with a big head. Smelled great with a spicy, banana aroma. Tasted some chocolate and a finish of clove.

Cool deep burgundy color. Complex nose and equally complex flavor dominated by banana and clove. Spice comes in late. Very well balanced in all facets. Head lingers quite nicely. Supreme for its style!
