Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Thanks to dickinsonbeer. Pours a red/brown amber with an average off white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, light citrus and some roasted malts. Flavors of the same, nice and smooth.

To me this beer had way too much of a clover aroma and I just couldn't acquire a taste for this beer.I thought it had a slight bitter aftertaste. To each his/her own.

WOW! This packs some punch! Darker brown in color and cloudy when the yeast is mixed in. Spice and fruit notes throughout and possibly a floral taste/aroma as well. Recommended highly to all.

Muddly looking active beer with a banana like aroma and a banana flavour with a slight hint of bitterness. Overall quite a plain beer, its major benefit is its refreshing qualities.

The pour is chestnut brown and cloudy and finishes with a bit of yeasty sediment. Has a quickly dissipating fizzy off-white head. The aroma is a little bit of citrus and cloves with a yeasty undertone. The alcohol is prevalent amd masks the nutty maltiness that it is trying to deliver. It does not ruin this, but it is what comes through the strongest. A little bit of yeast mingling with caramel in the aftertaste. Velvety smooth mouthfeel - would be excellent in the winter.

My first weizenbock, and it was worth the wait. The appearance wasn’t inspiring: cloudy, mud-coloured, with a small head, but the aroma and taste were full of good things. Fruity and sweet with plenty of yeast, this was a wonderful, warming alcoholic beer; easy to drink, utterly delicious.

16 oz bottle at Federal in Durham, NC. Bottle conditioned. Served in a tall 0.5 L Aventinus glass. Hazy garnet-brown color with foamy tan head. Smells of bananas, cloves, and alcohol. Citrusy flavor, slightly sweet with a touch of caramel, cloves, and a splash of alcohol at then end.
