Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Somehow haddened had this bought it a ways back. Pours rich deep orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet and malty and quite rich. Taste is sweet, rich, malty with big kicks of caramel. Yummers.

(On tap) Brown colored, little head. Mild banana aroma with some malt in there too. Very full bodied. While drinking I didn’t know how much alcohol there is, but it feels that there is some. Starts with carbonation bite and ends with banana flavor and warm mouthfeel. Very dimensional brew, full body is nice. Fine experince!

Delicious brew! The spicy hefe smell and taste are fantastic! One of the best German beers i’ve ever had, though i stick to Belgian beers.

Red brown until you add the yeast, then sludgy mud colour. Good rocky head with good condition. First aromas suggestive of a big malty estery trappist but the the banana notes kick in to remind you its a wheat beer as well. Lots more chewy malt, banana and fig notes in the mouth and a sweet long fruity finish. Like someone mixed a westy and a Schneider Weisse.

The only drawback to this was that the bock maltiness covered up the expected spiciness of the wheat style. Very dark. very colourful. Good head.

I have had this a good number of times and it is simply wonderful. Brown pur wtih a foamy head. Very sweet nose, dried fruit, candy sugar, chocolate, sweet spices and super malts. Tongue is much of the same. Sweet, caramel, malt, honey, molasses. Just a beautiful brew.

cloudy brown with sediment, lovely thick super smooth large offwhite head. fruity, peach, faint dark fruits in the aroma, well balanced. almost resembling belgian stuff. flavori is peachy, yellow fruity, dark fruits, strong flavor but not alcoholic, sicy as it gets warmer.

In the 0.5L bottle at the Huber Haus. Very intense beer. Strong clove aroma with a tough of smoke. Thick sweet fruit and wheat flavors. Big on esters. Serious alcohol, very chewy and filling. Just a great beer to look at with that merangue pie thick head.
