bHow: /bBottle 500ml, too many times, various agesbr
bThe look: /b Almost clear brown-purple body topped by a very small beige head.br
bIn long: /b Aroma of woody malt, cloves, mint, lavender and camomile. The nose is very aromatic with “cute flowers” (tulips, orchids, etc.) along with mint and why not some camomile. Taste of watered-down-rhum, red grapes, some mint, flower petals. Medium body, medium carbonation. Alcohol is somewhat apparent but not distracting. Although this is supposedly a very stable beer I often seem to get different experiences with it. Although it could just be my bad memory. I think I’m supposed to have a bad memory but I don’t remember.

Tan, creamy foam over a slightly unclear, ruby brown body. Rich wheaty aroma with notes of cloves and plums. Moderate fruity and spicy character combined with sweet malts. Warming finish with a careful yeasty touch (last drink at The St Albans Beer Festival, 29.09.2006). beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Aroma starts with sweet malt up front and a wheat spice following and some fruity esters. The flavors starts with a flowing doppelbock sweetness, rich caramel flavors and notes of licorice are followed by wheat and a spicy finish. The yeast adds notes of clove and fruit leading into a very well balanced finish. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

Really, this is MUCH more like a wheat than a bock. On rerate, I think it is quite tasty. A VERY malty weisse. after4ever (2809), Brier, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 1, 2008 ,33L. Brand new bottle. Pours just the faintest turn of the color wheel shy of dead solid black, with a dense if not massive heavy tan mousse. Decent film left, decent lace. Nice forward malty brown bread on the nose, caramel and maple showing. Medium body that still attains full-fledged velvetiness. Soft fizz. Sweet swirling malt flavors of seemingly every kind roar to life on the mid-palate: caramel, maple, vanilla bits, very soft roasty caramelization, and some brown and black bread. Dense and complex but still clean and easy drinking on that svelte lager yeast. This bottle died as a baby and I still can’t imagine running out of good things to say about this beer. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 26, 2007 Aroma of chocolate, sour cherries, alcohol, and clove. Dark brown with a nice white head. Flavor is chocolate, some spice, alcohol. Can definitley tell it is a style of bavarian wheat. Pretty full bodied. Alcohol is pronounced. Pretty carbonated as well. It is cool to get this at a bar for sure. It tastes good. I dont have to drink a ton of it, and it gets me pretty inebriated!
