Nose is a tad yeasty, sweet malt, pleasing to the senses, start is ambrosial, and the top middling in feel. Finish has a crisp acidic bite, the hops subdued, the aftertaste dry and long lasting, a quite nice beer, as I have always been partial to the “Bock” family.

Good bottle and label, huge corky camel-colored head, cloudy rootbeer brown brew. The aroma is good but mild except of the alcohol. Very warming bock, a bit tart. Woody, grainy, peppery, banana taffy flavor. Perhaps a stab of anise or coriander. A worthy brew, and better as it warmed and lost the CO2 sting. puzzl (2649), New York, New York, USA

The pour was a dark brown, with very minimal head. I remember the flavor being really rich, robust, wheaty and malty, but not much else. Damn. It was so good, too. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 4, 2004 Bottle pours murky reddish brown, milky off-white head, light lacing, with numerous streams of bubbles eminating from the depths. Wheat malts, cloves, and banana on the nose. Forwardly wheaty, with hints of the aformentioned cloves and bananas. Wonderful mouthfeel, full bodied, a bit too much on the carbonation side but its overlookable. Solid flavor throughout, from beginning to finish. I don’t think I could say enough about this beer other than its my absolute undeniable favorite Weizen Bock, and overall one of my favorites of all styles. This is a must try!

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy, middling brown colour with a moderate, short-lived tan head. Aroma of yeast, cloves and sweet fruit. Mouth was smooth for a beer of this strength, with only a touch of warming alcohol. Flavour had a mild touch of bananas with more yeast and some caramel. Finish was spicy. Excellent. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
