Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

An interesting very dark golden brew that presents a lasting cloudy top. It’s aroma is complex with citrus, banana and yeast. Despite it’s high alcohol, it’s firm, clean, crisp and drinkable with strong weisse beer flavor chock full of yeast, tang, and citrus, with alcohol and malt hues.

nice weizen bock.... pours out dark brown color with a hint of sweetness in the smell. the carbonation was actually mind blowing, it fizzed more than a soft drink! but it didnt effect the taste and make it taste like champagne, so that was ok. taste was sweet and sort of malty with no presence of hops in any way shape or form. quite a nice beer, that i could drink alot of. seemed more of a session beer than anything else.

This is a real treat..i had the chance to get this but let it slip, not this time, and it was worth the wait, pours a murky brown colour, everlasting headf ring, good lacing, now THIS IS A WHEAT, sweetness on the lips, and a beutiful bitterness. i drank it really cold and let it warm up, i suggest the same, this rocks!

Huge lasting tan head. Murky brown body (not clear like in the picture). Aroma of wheat, clove, chocolate and caramel. Flavour is intense dominated by wheat but I also notice a strong banana presence. Finish is extremely smooth and leaves a nice coating of flavour in the mouth; of course until you take another gulp. A beauty and perhaps legend.

The color is hazy brownish with a good solid white head. The taste is sweet and strong. The alcohol shines through which makes it nice for a winter evening.

Pours with a three-finger light tan head that fades quickly leaving no lace. Almost cloudy dark amber color, ton of yeast in bottom of bottle. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose. Flavor is sweet yeasty caramel, clean finish. Cellars well, brewed 2004. $6.75 for a 500ml bottle from a Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, ME.

500ml Bottle. Pour is murky orange brown with a giant, light tan head. Aroma is bananas, yeast, and some dried fruit sweetness. Taste is much bigger than expected. Initially get the dried fruit sweetness, smoothing into bananas and cloves, and finally with a hint of wheat in the finish. Very nice lingering aftertaste. Even a touch of heat (alcohol) at the end. There is just a ton going on in this one, yet it is subtle and really well rounded. Very nice.
