Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

(Bottle) Pours clear nutty brown with a big white head. Caramel in the nose with banana and tones of smoked wood. A bit sourish but also vanilla, cloves, light green herbs and some toffee. Maybe a touch of allmond paste. Spicy pepperyness in flavour playing well with the carbonation. Pretty smooth mouthfeel and a sourish finish with notes of chocolate and sweet caramell. Medium to big body.

Bottle sample courtesy of Shawn. Pours a hazy orange brown with good off-white head. Nose is lightly spiced wheat and rum fruits. Tastes of raisin and wheat and alcohol on the finish. Pleasant alcohol warming effect.

Bottle. Pours a dark, hazy red/brown with a nice tan head. The nose is full of clove, banana, more spices, and a dark fruit bouquet. Nice mouthfeel, and a complex, appropriately sweet flavor. Hints of cloves, grapes, banana, thin chocolate, and a weakly tart finish are present. Pretty nice.

B$6. Banana aroma. I’m not sure if I like banana aroma yet. Underlying yeasty aroma after sitting a while. Medium lacing. Medium reddish brown color. The banana aroma is present in taste as well.

50cl bottle from Total Wine (Jacksonville, FL). Pours a dark, cloudy dark brown with a white, creamy two finger head. Good head retention. Smells of malt, cloves and spices with hints of bread and yeast. Flavor is rich and malty with hints of caramel and with a soothing barley finish. Excellent weizen bock, one that we drink nearly every week.

Bottle I picked up at zeno’s. Pours a generous head! Aroma is sweet, pleasant aroma. Dark amber/brownish color with decent head. Flavor is jam packed. Very nice mixture of malts and hops. Good amount of yeast. A Really Great Weizen-Bock. One I will drink again. Cheers!

Dark brown coloured, thick lasting head, absolutely beautiful. Aroma of wheat and malts, some yeast and spices. Very smooth flavour, banana, caramel, wheat, quite complex and very delicate. Lasting finish. Very, very good beer.
