Wonderful clove and chocolate covered bananas soaked in alcohol. Sweet with occasional bits of bubblegum and a bit of yeast. Thick and wonderful. Something I plan to continue to drink regularly, especially as a nice summer beer. 5/8/2002 3.7: Certainly can't ignore the malty taste. Nice color to go with the flavor. Certainly worth the try. holdenn (1449), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours a red raisin-brown with a tall beige head, I have to let it fade down to pour the rest. Aroma of bananas, clove, dough, and yeast. The flavors are clean at first, banana and clove, until I get all of that yeast in there. Then a much creamier smoother banana, toffee, chocolate full bodied from the wheat. Tasty beer. robinvboyer (1444), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 5, 2005 Dark brown and opaque from my yeast-including pour, with a nice foamy head that receded to a thick cover and lasted. Strong, spicy clove and banana cream pie aroma with loads of sweet malt--wow! The flavour is a continuation of the so inviting aroma: spicy clove phenolics with black pepper juxtaposed with sweet, malty banana esters. A little bitterness and a bit sweet, but not cloyingly so. Medium to full body and highly carbonated. Packed with flavour! adrian910ss (1436), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is clove and dusty/champagne with fruit esters and bubblegum. Flavor is strangely inviting, like a deep hefe with hints of Belgian Ale... | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. Aroma primarily candi fruits with hints of caramel and spices. Flavor brings out more spiciness, including a distinct BBQ edge for me. As the body warms, more and more complex wheat flavor comes out, truly solidifying this brew as world class. I’ll be picking up a few more of these at my first opportunity. Excellent.
