Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Creamy and adherent foam, good persistence. Interesting color, darker than a dunkel weizen. Darkest brown, fizzy and lightly dense. Rich and spiced scent. Toasted and lightly bitter. Long and pleasant finish. Remarkable alcoholic tenor, much balanced one.

Strong beer. Creamy, thick head. A nice murky amber glow. Sweet smell, with a bit of orange. High carbonation with a taste of malt. Surprisingly clean and fresh.

Poured a dark brown with red highlights, nice white head, good lacing. Caramel, clove flvors to follow the swee malt. Smooth and not too sour. This was great.

Pours deep caramel brown with a big layer of coarse tan head that settles fairly quickly. Clove and smokey, dark sourdough bread crust aromas. Lots of dark bread character in the flavor too, smokey, sour. Lingering acidity on the palate. A solid beer, but not particularly good for drinking solo. To continue in the dark bread metaphor, it needs cheese or a hunk of summer sausage to go with it. On it’s own it just wears out the mouth.

Pours a dark golden brown with an off-white head. A spicey caramel, dark fruit, malty aroma. Very good flavor of spices (cloves and nutmeg), dark fruit, sweet malt, wheat, banana, etc. Complex ale, this stuff is good.

Bottled: WOW! Came out a little fizzy, but the head died down immediately. Malty, wheat and cloves make for a rich taste. Undertones of alcohol, but doesn't overpower the taste. Nose is a bit floral. Also hints of clove. Very full taste. VERY GOOD! This bottle was aged for a year and a half. It was much better than when new!

Dark brown colour with a big foamy head. Roasted and malty aroma with some wheat notes. Flavor was quite sweet with notes of malt, clove, spices and dark fruit. The alcohol is well hidden. Nice weizen bock indeed.
