Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Dark coppery brown colour with a large off-white head that rapidly disappears. Smells like a hefeweizen, with notes of citrus, sweet malt, and yeast. Tastes sweet with rich molasses and brown sugar underneath the citrusy flavours. Medium length malty finish. Very good.

Rich, sweet, complex, refreshing while still appearing big... the fruity easters are unimaginable. So complex, it’s behavior changes every time I drink this beer. A wonderful wheat beer that deserves a new rating from me.

Pouring out a strangely earthy brown color, there was a thin light brown head that quickly transformed into a glass-encircling halo. Little carbonation. The aroma was acrid, almost vinegary. Despite all that, the taste wasn’t bad... not "gentle" as the commercial description states, but a strong sour fruit flavor with a touch of spices... perhaps even cloves, as the com-desc suggests. Tart, sour finish.

There is no other equal when it comes to a Weiss Doppelbock. TO get the balance and flavors in this beer are next to impossible, but Schneider does it! RERATE additional info. - Near brown color with a tall creamy head. Smooth with just enough spritz to make it lively. Wheat, light clove and bananas, and fresh yeast aroma. Caramel, light fruit and light fruitcake spice mingle in the flavor. Simply stated "Perfect"!

Rerate ala leap year. Will my past haunt me, is this just a figment. Brown garnet color with a taller bone colored head. Aromas are faint with only some wheat and lightly toasted malt. I fear an older bottle, but I can only assume this is what many have come to expect from the typical shelf stored import. At least the flavors do not let me down, spice, wheat, and malt. Somewhat thinner than I remember as well. An awesome brew fresh, still a great brew. I now am without a 5.0 brew thanks to big black bear. and I must keep searching.

Toffee and banana aroma. Redish brown, off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, banana, toffee and wheat flavors. Burning sensation during a long lasting finish.

Pours a rich amber ruby color with a thick reactive head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana, clove, fruit. Flavors in addition to aroma with fig, complexly delicious. Warm alcohol mouthfeel with a dry finish. This is a good combination of flavors and has a good german wheat taste to it.

Mid brown colour. Rather paler than I expected and without much sediment in the bottle. Small, but persistent, head. Runs the gamut of aromas from B to V (banana to vanilla) - banana, cloves, pineapple, caramel, treacle toffee, molasses, vanilla and probably some other s too. The flavour has more of the same, but less intense. There’s some plummy fruit and licorice here too, with just a bit of citric bite kicking in to temper the sweetness. The mouthfeel is smooth, tending towards the sticky side of the street. It’s certainly a nice beer, but its not quite a 4 for me. 500ml bottle from beersofeurope.co.uk

Bottle at The Ginger Man, NY. Dark hazy amber with a small off-white head that left good lacing. Complex fruit and spice aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Full flavor with long finish with a small alcohol bite. Very good brew.
