Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Tops in it’s class. So delicious. Strong yet so smooth. Spices are up front but they are not offensive like many other wheat beers.

A truly fantastic brew, wonderfully complex both on the nose and also on the palate, can’t start to describe the array of flavours..lovely. This obviously is a favourite with raters and I can’t say anything that hasn’t been said before. Asda £2

Aventinus has a nice head and a rather brown color with a red hue. The aroma has wonderful notes of wheat, malt and fruit and the mouth feeling is smooth. The flavour is sweet and has a lot of different notes of dark, ripe fruits, banana, nuts and wheat. It’s a full bodied and heavy beer with the lightness of a wheat beer. So far I haven’t yet met a wheat as nice as this one, it’s a sheer pleasure to drink it.

For Dortmunder. My first rating. Nose of Brett, malty wholemeal bread, Dried fruits, museli, faint sweet caramel notes. Body, rich full flavours yet far from cloying nice balance. Cleansing wheaten notes. Sweet front pallet malts complementing dry wheat finish in the late pallet. Nice warmth. Moderate fizz. Rocky yet diminishing head. Like this. Oh, slightly estery come farmyardy on the burp.

Poured with lots of carbonation. Giant head that stuck around for a while. Tastes of clove, bananna, caramel. The clove was more in the finish for me. This is one of my very favorite beers, I would never turn down the opportunity to drink one of these. Excellent!

Bottle. The best of two worlds here... Really thick malts and a hefty bit of German weizen all rolled into one.. This will become a regular.

WOW... This beer is fun to drink! Fruity and carmel taste. Nice off-white head that stays well. Leaves a nice bite on your tongue and a slight bitter lingering taste on the palate. Eat something before you drink this 1! haha The streets of Munich were tilting after a few of these guys! I loved this beer.
