From it’s huge aroma of banana, citrus, chocolate and clove to it’s amazing smoothness, this beer is deserving of very high marks. How can you not love this beer??? Dark, rich aroma of malt, banana, spice and toasted raisin bread. Creamy mouthfeel, and flavours of caramel, malt, banana, clove and a hint of chocolate. A definate favourite of mine, and I'm glad the supply in Ontario is cheap and plentiful! aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA

Yeast truly is a magical beast. The flavor follows with a tingle of carbonation, then a distinctive spicy, almost cherry-like flavor that is devoid of the thick, syrupy sweetnes that detracts from so many American beers of 8% alcohol. A great beer and a classic of this style. Fantomas23 (463), Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Reminds me of a dunkel in aroma: fresh baked banana bread. Tastewise it’s something else. Sweet at first sip but not sticky: raisins and cherries, spices. Warms up nicely on the palate. Faint medicinal quality to the finish but otherwise very satisfying. A fantastic beer that keeps me coming back for more. Tatterdash (10), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 7, 2005 This is my first Weizenbock, having focused on Belgian brews for some time now, I decided to expand to German ales. Poured an evervescent red-brown with a foamy white head that dissipated slowly. Smell was a wine-like plum and banana. Taste... Hey! It’s like that one I used to have at Gordon Biersch! Dark fruits, malts, bit of spice and banana, so chocolate creeping in. Has a surprisely light mouthfeel, which was unusual yet appreciated and the high ABV is so well hidden it is quaffable (although you’ll want most of it to land in your mouth so it is not a true quaff). This beer is also very refreshing and drinkable, especially on a hot summer night... I like this a lot.
