Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Re-rate: i seem to always re-rate this beer, so here i go again. Interesting clovy, banana smoothy/Banana Paddlepop aroma, with suggestions of toffee or caramel. Clovy, yeasty, fruity (banana), chocolatey/caramellly palate, quite complex. The ingredients seem to blend well together. Sweetish, but dry-ish finish, totally insane in the end. i am so happy that i can just walk down the road and get it.

Huge dense head. Awesome in that it is just the right amount of bitter, alcohol, and wheat.

An amazing looking beer--almost completely opaque with a solid, persistent head. Has an excellent flavor to go with it: slightly fruity, with hints of chocolate and a light bitterness to offset its sweetness. The alcohol flavor is somewhat strong: Aventinus packs something of a punch. Great stuff.

Dark brown coloured, thick lasting head, absolutely beautiful. Aroma of wheat and malts, some yeast and spices. Very smooth flavour, banana, caramel, wheat, quite complex and very delicate. Lasting finish. Very, very good beer.

(re-rate) Slight hazy brown/red. Moderate to high carbonation. Insane aroma of cloves, banana, spices, wheat, malt and others. Creamy mouthfeel, medium to thick bodied, palate bombarded with flavors of cloves, banana, chocolate, dark fruits, green apples, bubble gum and more. Complex as hell. Finish is sweet and clovey. Alcohol is masked wonderfully. This is simply world class.

Truly a classic. Clove/banana wheatiness combined with the best of a doublebock. Absolutely fabulous
