Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Pours cloudy red/brown with initial beige head that diminishes quickly. Very nice malt flavors mix with caramel, spices, grass, dark fruits and some citrus fruit. Good full body and lightly sour malt after taste. Very good beer.

You know it’s been 7 years since I have last had this beer and it has left a lasting impression on me. It was a great beer!! I just about bought it today. But I bought others to sample that I have never had. Its was amazing. It was wheaty and bubbly and harsh to the palet but it was still enjoyable I loved it. I should buy this one again really soon!

Unusually smooth, creamy texture; nice dark brown color with a huge head; very pleasant taste and smooth finish.

Pours a rich amber ruby color with a thick reactive head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, banana, clove, fruit. Flavors in addition to aroma with fig, complexly delicious. Warm alcohol mouthfeel with a dry finish. This is a good combination of flavors and has a good german wheat taste to it.

This one is up there with the best beers that I have ever had. Rich and complex, and even better than the concentrated version which I find a bit hot (alcoholic tasting) unless chilled.

Absolutely fantastic! Brown with a beige head that quickly disappeared. Amazing aromas that require careful dissection: toffee, nutmeg, vanilla, soft roasted malt, all wrapped together as more than the sum of their parts. Palate is terrifically flavourful without being overwhelming: roasted malt, raisins, caramel, and nutmeg/cloves. Perfect carbonation. Very smooth finish. Perfectly balanced so as not to be cloying. Alcohol sits quietly amongst all of this; warm without being harsh. One of the best!

This beer is very similar to and is as complex tasting as some of the best Belgian Strong Dark Ales that I’ve had. It has a little more Caramel malt flavors tho and a stronger banana /yeasty ester flavor base. A damn Good brew no doubt. A little on the sweet side, but in this beer that isn’t a bad thing at all, in fact it defines the brew.

Appears a a dark hazy red toned brown with red being more noticable towards the bottom of the large wheat glass that it was drawn into. Nice tan head that never truly dies out is a right-on sight. Not a whole lot going on for lacing though. Smell is awesome. Lots of bavarian yeastiness going on and kicking into a hearty wheat with caramel, dark fruit, banana, clove, and a hint of chocolate and bubble gum makes this top notch. The taste is superb, especially this draft version which makes the complex aromas and tastes seem less contained. The mouthfeel is smooth and about medium-full bodied. All the flavors run nicely along the palate without gumming up and becoming cloying. You can keep these coming all night for me on draft. The ABV isn’t as noticable from the draft either. I love this brew!
