The aroma is strong. Yeasty, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, banana, clove. The flavor is cinnamon, banana, clove, yeast, wheat berries, banana bread. The flavor is well-blended. Sweet palate. Good carbonation and thickness. Damn this is good. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA

I was suprised as to how murky the appearance was. Dark bread and hay aroma with some dough and moderate yeast. Dry tecture and a great level of carbonation. I’ve not had many of this style, but I certainly will be buying more of this. rbloodworth (15), Canada

The biggest selling feature for me is the colour - a purplish brew that screams raisins and other delights. Huge frothy head and wonderful taste...I will get this again! mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA

Pours a light brown or dark amber with a stable tan head. Smells of banana, malts, and light clove. Tastes are similar to the smells. Get a lot of sweet malts, banana, a little nutmeg in there as well. The finish has hints of chocolate and a nice little bitterness as well. This along with the Ayinger Celebrator are probably my two favorite German bocks. timmydent (19), fishers, Indiana, USA

I had heard a lot about this beer and had high expectations, it exceeded them. The nose, of dried, rotten fruit and clove spice is incredible. The alcohol is hidden at 8.2%, and the flavor is rich but yet refreshing. My favorite night cap beer. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA

Glass gives off a gentle, furity aroma. I enjoyed the spicy taste throughout the glass, and it left a long, good finish. Will definitely be drinking this again. bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

Has a very nice burgundy color with lots of visible carbonation and a rocky 2 finger tan head that reminded me of bath bubbles. Straw, wheat, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, toffee, vanilla, and the aroma of a bread box are all present. Taste is Sweet with nutmeg, cinnamon, wheat, banana, vanilla, and dried fruits. Aftertaste of Wheat, vanilla, banana, clove, and some other spices I’m unsure of. A nice medium body, but way too much carbonation. It almost burned a little bit. Great beer! It reminded me of Christmas in a way. I expected Celebrator since the bottle says Doppelbock but was pleasantly surprised. doughert82 (19), Bay Area, California, USA

Commercial description is very accurate. However (to the beers benefit), it finishes with various flavors and a strong punch.
