Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

Bottle. This is a great beer with a perfect hint of caramel and sweetness, and good alcohol notes near the end. One of my favorites upon arriving home from work.

This is the king of wheat double bocks. I call this my "nap" beer. I have one of these and it is a best nap ever. The sweet yeast and mellow aroma are perfect with the 8.2 ABV. The fruits and tartness are perfect. Try this and you’ll be hooked!

This is as close to perfect as it gets for me. The smell is a lovely caramel and butterscotch. The color is an unbeatable dark mahogany. Taste is impeccably subtle with hints of banana and clove of course but also a creeping saltiness that makes you want to chug the whole beer. I buy this beer every time I see it for $4 or less (the 500 ml bottle). I can’t imagine a better beer in this style and I’m not sure there is a beer out there that I’d rather drink. Yup, this is my one beer on a desert island beer.

Definitely my favorite beer right now and the best Weizenbock I’ve ever had. The caramel/raisin/vanilla flavors are excellent. The taste is even more impressive when you consider it has an 8.2% alcohol content.

Wow, what a beer! 50 cl Bottle poured into a chalice. Aroma is of banana, cloves and bubblegum. Crisp, carbonated palate with undercurrents of caramel and cloves. Very complex. Probably the greatest beer I’ve tasted.

Simply one of the best wheat beers I’ve drunk. Pours dark brown, with lots of lovely sediment swishing about, large white foamy head. Champagne-like carbonation in the glass. Tastes of clove, raisins, banana. A real winner. In fact, I’ve got one in the fridge & I think I’ll have one tonight!
