Commercial Description:
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.

A cloudy dark brown beer with a nice looking 3 finger head. Aroma was spicy & complex almost like spicecake. Taste was banana, chocolate, spicy, & bready with a cake like taste, & undertones of wheat. This beer really looks good in the glass & dazzles with a lot of carbonation activity. I do not know that much about bocks but this is my favorite, & probably one of the best in the world.

Best of the dark German Wheats. Carmel colored, nice and yeasty. Very malty, goes down easy but is a meal unto itself. Fantastic!

Dark brown color. Large creamy head. Malty spicy aroma with a touch of banana and clove. WOW. Big, bold beer.Banana and cloves moves to raisins, fruit, chocolate and citrus. Taste really grabs at you. Which is NOT a bad thing. Warming taste. Alcohol is evident, but not overpowering. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. NICE beer.

(Bottle) An extremely dark wheat beer. Very enjoyable! I love the 12 of quarts in Germany. Re-confirms that achoholism is international. God bless German beer!

Rich, sweet, complex, refreshing while still appearing big... the fruity easters are unimaginable. So complex, it’s behavior changes every time I drink this beer. A wonderful wheat beer that deserves a new rating from me.
