Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Feb 13, 2004 Updated: Jan 9, 2005 Dark, dark brown with a shiny red patena and a steady head. Yeasty aroma. Elegantly smooth and lightly sweet. Vaguely yeast-based, with molasses character. Sweetness grows as you go. Very good.
wyzzywyz22 (314), Wirral, Merseyside, England Aug 29, 2008 Bottle, Beer Ritz, Leeds. Poured a dark reddish brown with a big ol’ white head which lingered nicely. Aroma was clove, banana and yeast. Flavour was dark malt, chocolate, spice, plum. Creamyish mouthfeel. Mild sweetness with some bitterness in the finish. Could well be one of the best tasting German beers I’ve had thus far, but can’t help thinking this is a tad over rated on here. KyotoLefty (63), Kyoto, Japan Aug 27, 2008 500ml bottle. Beautifully cloudy reddish brown with a nice fine head. Big aroma of wheat malt: bananas and cloves, with a touch of dark fruit. Big, complex malt flavor, with lots of everything: bananas, figs, cloves, and a touch of chocolate and caramel even. Just enough sour in the finish to keep it from going over the top. Great full body. This is the weizen bock that sets the standards. Was even better at the brewery on tap. danielyabu (53), Curitiba, Brazil Aug 27, 2008 ssa super conceituada Weizen Bock é, de longe a melhor dos produtos Schneider & Sons. Beer_Hawk (694), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Gusher!! Popped the top on this one, turned my back for a split second to grab a glass and as I returned it was spewing out the top. Dark brown once I got it in the glass with a fizzy tan head that settled out quick. Dark fruits (raisin & prune) in the aroma with molasses and light alcohol also noted. As it warmed some spices and banana also came out in the aroma. Dark fruits and malts in the flavor. Also some clove and slight smoke in the flavor. Full body that is bitter in the beginning but ends sweet. Tingly carbonation and a slight warming feeling. Furseth (1118), Kungälv, Sweden Aug 25, 2008 Bottle,Thanx to ekstedt.
