daknole (492), Plantation, Florida, USA May 16, 2008 I have had this a good number of times and it is simply wonderful. Brown pur wtih a foamy head. Very sweet nose, dried fruit, candy sugar, chocolate, sweet spices and super malts. Tongue is much of the same. Sweet, caramel, malt, honey, molasses. Just a beautiful brew.
TheGent (7), , Massachusetts, USA does not count Jul 7, 2008 A wonderus brew. pours a strange brown slightly hued purple. Thick headed beer that allows for every sip to come through a cloud of bubbles. The smell had the typical yeast but also contains a ginger/clove smell. The taste is clean and refreshing. Slight sweetness made a friend who i shared this bottle with say it was "root beer" like. But most spectacular is the palate with a superb carbination that seems to make the flavor envelope the entire tongue. villevav (6), Finland does not count Jul 7, 2008 Thick dense head. The aroma is malty and sweet with hops, alcohol, cocoa and a hint of citrus. The mouthfeel is rich and has a pleasant carbonation. weaselkenievil (272), Cheshire, England Jul 5, 2008 Immense. Loved it. You know how some beers seem to really get you away with a mixer? This is one of them . Alcohol hidden perfectly but packs the punch. Like a shy girl you get her clothes off and boom, absolute nailageness. Dark caramel kind of colour. Kicks the fuck out of any wheat I’ve had so far. Shit fucking hot. 502Flavors (140), Kentucky, USA Jul 3, 2008 16.9 oz. bottle into pint glass. Pours a nice dark and hazy honey brown with an active and tall white head that doesn’t leave much lacing. It smells like a typical wheat beer with a spicy (a bit of nutmeg), slightly citrus and banana-y body. Flavor is soft and refreshing, as par usual with wheat brews but with some unique subtleties including banana on the gulp and a grape/cherry flavor on the finish. The alcohol is hidden remarkably well. It is light bodied with tingly carbonation on the palate. Overall: great refreshing brew that is dangerously drinkable. Great for the summer. redgold07 (271), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2008 Pours a dark red-brown color with a bit of a white head. Aroma is a bit spicy... some clove with a little yeast and sweet nodes. Flavor is of yeast, spice, alcohol, but also sweet of caramel, slightly bitter too.
1 pt. 0.9 oz. bottle.
