May 6, 2008 A truly underappreciated beer, with a great taste and a lot of cool history behind it, and it show that not all organic beers are terrible. Starts off with a nice butterscotch maltiness, some honey and some refreshing carbonation. Some spicy zesty flavors, with some tasty cereal grainy notes. Tasty.

May 4, 2008 Rich golden hue with a lasting, foamy-white head. Big and estery banana nose. Soft texture; light body; tame carbonation. Bitterness seemed to be a bit stark for the subtle sweetness. Malts were kind of flat and unexciting. Seemed earthy and damp, overall.

Apr 28, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to light orange with a fully diminished white head. Grainy and dry wheaty aroma. Flavour is light caramel malty and wheaty. Light cinnamon spiced. Ends with a light wheaty note. To cinnamon spiced for my liking.

Apr 28, 2008 Draft. Cloudy light brown in the glass with a frothy off-white head that leaves good lacing behind. Aroma of wheat, citrus and spices. The flavor follows much the same of the aroma. Light to medium body with a nice hefe wheat aftertaste. (Rating from Sep ’07 in Germany)

Apr 25, 2008 Pours golden yellow, with a e inch empty bubble foam head that dissipates rapidly. It’s slightly cloudy with some seediment mixed in. Medium wheat citus aroma. Full, darker flavor.Good citrus character of lemon. Pulp citrus mouthfeel. Clean finish. Overall a medium bodied and flavor, good weisse.

Apr 23, 2008 Bottle on 4/19/2008. I was expecting the massive head of a German hefe, but this was a medium head, quite sturdy and durable, over a hazy gold, so it still looked pretty darned good. Very floral aroma, with notes of cloves, and the fruit esters characteristic of the style. Light body and medium effervescence that supplemented the clean palate and slowly building dryness. Flavor showed a restrained honey sweetness, followed by some light acidity and even a hint of sourness, with a soft, dry, but not particularly bitter finish. this is a great brewer, and this beer lives up to their standards, even if it’s not on the same level as Aventinus.
