The color was cloudy yellow/brown. The head was thin, creamy, and white. The arome was wheat, alcohol, spice, and lemon-grass. The flavor was lemon-grass and wheat. The palate was smooth. The finish was wheat.

Pours a very hazy soft orange amber. The head is about two fingers thick, creamy, white. Fades quickly. The aroma is banana, spicy, clove, sour hefe yeast. The flavor is wheaty, Hefe yeast, clove, spice, crisp, banana. Crisp well carbonated mouthfeel. Finishes fairly clean, leaving some residual banana flavors. Alcohol plays more of a role in the mouthfeel and flavor than I expect from a Hefe.

Very impressive for an organic beer. light basement aromas, the color is golden and hazy. bitterness is medium as is the body with a lively taste. Overall Impression; Wow! extremely well balanced HefeWeizen, with traditional taste.

Bright, clear-gold pour with a 1 finger white head. Sweet banana-clove aroma with a hearty bread malt backbone. Flavor is lots of banana, chewy malt, caramel, spice, wheat and a hint of fig. Sticky medium body with a healthy amount of carbonation.

bottle pours out a clear straw color topped with a white head. A very nice aroma of classic German hef. Spice and bannana. Tast of spice manybe clove. One bad thing this brew is pretty thin. O well. It still tast good.

Bottle from Brickskellers in D.C. Poured in the traditional style into a nice big weizen glass, allowing the yeast in the bottle to mix with the rest of the beer, leaving a nice thick head. Smells of banana, orange, cloves, wheat and flowers. It has a very nice, light and carbonated mouthfeel. It’s a pretty complex beer, I could pick up lots of different notes but it seemed to be dominated by citrus, bananas, cloves and slight hop and alcohol presence. One of the better hefeweizen’s I’ve had the pleasure of drinking, although it reminded me of other German hefeweizens (like Paulaner).

500ml bottle and it’s organic! Filled to the brim of my trusty Duvel glass. Two fingers of white head sit atop a murky, hazy brew, with an apricot, pink grapefruit hue. Pinkinsh at the core, but yellow and dull around the edges. Strong and layered nose. Hints of flowers, bananas, cloves, bubblegum, slight cedar, straw, citrus zest. Playful on the palate. Definitely not too heavy or overly sedimented. Lively and zesty with citrus notes popping out. Typical Hefe flavors, bananas and cloves, but so much more. Dry bitter pine hop finish. Ever so slight alcohol burn at the back of the throat. Vanilla and pepper. Cloying sweetness that holds the bitter burn! Yep, this is good. Not the best Hefe I’ve ever had, but its up there.

Bottle. Hazy, dark yellow body. Hefe aromas of banana, orange and spice (clove) along with notes of toasted grain, flowers and yeast and just a hint of vinegar. The flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Lively carbonation in a medium body with a watery texture. Finish remains lightly bitter and a little tart. Nice enough, but a bit of a mess in the balance and texture.
