Bottle: Cloudy, clumps of yeast visible, visible carbonation, mid-sized fluffy white head, not very persistent; solid fruity-wheaty nose with a faint citrousy acidity in the wings - and almost a tinge of hops; very robust sweet-sourish flavour with a light, but distinctive bitterness, medium to full bodied, fizzy MF; distinctive sweet -(orangey)fruity and wheaty finish with a bitter tinge and a touch of yeast. Fine Märzen-Weizen, unfortunately not avaible in Germany.......

500 ml bottle in the official Edel-Weisse glass....beautiful two-inch head on a healthy golden-orange hued body....corriander and citrus accents with a heavy clove aroma--apparent from opening of bottle to after-pour, quite reminiscent of the Original...soft and flavorful palate but strikingly absent on the tongue...smooth, with the slightest release of alcohol when chewed....definitely a refreshing presence...a bigger body than the Original, but not enough to discourage....no aftertaste--a plus, or a detraction?....makes a case of this--whatever the cost---quite desirable...a perfect compliment to the thunder/lightning storm I’m experiencing on my deck...

Draft. Wow, a very clean tasting weiss. Not a whole lot of acidity and very clean, not a lot of aftertaste. Great beer.

The Wiesen Edel-weisse (bottle) is distinguishable from other hefeweizens because of its extreme banana flavor (and an incredibly ripe smell to go along with the taste). It’s really not as citrusy or spicy as other hefes either. When we got down to the bottom of the bottle, it was cloudy like a sweet, delicious gravy. All in all, this is a solid option, maybe the best of this style.

Bottle. Citrusy, malt aroma with banana and touch of spice. Not much yeast aroma. First sip is delectable. That classic hefeweizen flavor is unmistakeable and a good example stands out in the crowd. This is one and this is how it should taste. Soft, malty banana and cloves, subtle note of gum and barely noticeable hop aroma/flavor. Perfectly carbonated, medium body. Excellent. I’m sure this would be a 4.8 or better on tap.

500ml bottle in Weihenstephan glass. Pours coudy orange amber with lasting white head. Aroma of yeast and slight lemon. Flavors of wheat tanginess, lemon tartness, bubblegum, and slight bitter finish. Nice mouthfeel. Refreshing. I think I like this better than Schneider Weisse.
