Pours a nice looking, slightly bubbly, hazy yellow-gold with an average size somewhat-lasting foamy white head. Aroma of spices and banana upfront along with wheat, yeast and citrus fruit. Flavour of wheat and spices (mostly pepper and cloves) along with some fruit, light sugary sweetness and floral notes.
Medium bodied. Pretty good stuff. yemenmocha (421), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Pours hazy golden colour with above average rocky white head that retains well. Nose has a very assertive banana/clove with fresh yeasty/bready aromas. On the palate the wheaty malt flavors are more pronounced than most weissbiers, with more alcohol warmth on the finish. More assertive but not as drinkable as the regular Schneider Weisse. harrisoni (6830), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2009 On tap at The Rake. Estery aroma, smells like a banana wheat beer. Cloudy orange colour. Thin white head. I thought this was pretty good. Would I drink this over the regular beer? Maybe not. But I did find it very drinkable until I found out how expensive it was at The Rake. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2009 A Mes rate. Keg at The Rake. Its just a ramped up Schneider Weiss. Ok, the sourness is a little more pronounced, and the bubblegum is not quite so much to the fore but overall, I don’t really see the point of this one. If I wanted more alcohol in my Schneider Weiss, I’d probably drink something else. Whatever, it’s a nice beer, I just don’t really see the point. madvike (346), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Bottle - Pours hazy amber that looks like apple cider. Has a cream-colored head and tons of yeasty floaties. Smells of spicy clove and light citrus. There’s a little skunk and lots of yeasty/wheaty notes.Taste is nice and wheaty with a bit of apples and spice--cinammon, nutmeg, and cloves. Smooth and effervescent in the mouth--a pleasant beer, but could do without the floaties. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Tap in the rake. Alround rating: Thin wheat character, the usual clove and banana esters, hop is hidden, manages to be massivly thin for the %. However it does seem to be lacking condition somewhat which si a good thing as far as im concerned. jeff789 (411), Pennsylvania, USA
