malty fruity and spicy on the nose. cloudy dark yellow pour with a white head that is weak. Wheat flavor along with a little citrus. Great mouth feel and very nice on the palate.

From a bottle at an Oktoberfest celebration. Good looking with a weak color, thin head. Witbeer aroma of fruits, spices, and molasses. Some sort of light flavor I can’t identify (perhaps it’s edelweisse, whatever that is) but I’d go out of my way for it.

Pale amber color; Medium body; Aroma of wheat, brown sugar and spice; Flavor of light malt/wheat, bananas, apricot, spice and even some cinnamon; This is a very different weisse beer; Not to sure what to make of it at first – but I do like it.

Golden orange with a white head that dissipates quickly. Heavily floral aroma, with some cinnamon and clove. Flavor is predominately cinnamon and clove, with a bit of orange and fresh hops. Quite good.

Served from a wooden cask at the Bavarian Lodge, 10/01/2009. Pours a deep murky golden with a creamy white head. Leaves some swathes of lacing. Aroma is full cloven, a bit apicy, nice. Full creamy mouthfeel with a slightly tart citrusy flavor that is somewhat sweet, hints of sugar but also a touch spicy. Compex and good, this may be the best Hefe I’ve ever had. The wood really addes something with that subtle cinamonny spice.

On tap at Bishops Arms, Karlstad. Pours a pale hazy golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with citrus, banana and light touches of grass. Flavour is very fruity, lightly acidic with lots of spices, banana, citrus and light grassy hops. Body is medium with quite much carbonation. Very refreshing and dangerously drinkable - a quite powerful hefeweizen from one of Germanys finest brewers!

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 27 Sep 2009) Cloudy, pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, citric nose with notes of citrus, apricots, banana and spices. Fruity, spicy taste with orange, dried apricots, banana and a touch of clove. More than medium body, balanced sweetness. Refreshing and tasty beer with a hint of alcohol in the finish. Nice.
