I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I sampled this beer, it is much better than expected. It is golden, cloudy and has a nice head. The aroma is as we know it from the original and the taste is similar too. The body is a bit lighter of course, but thats not really decrimental on a hot summer day.

Hazy yellow body, lasting white head; A bit watery but otherwise very weizen like nose: banana, clove and yeast; Thin soft body, huge carbonation, slightly bitter; Long finish initially bitter thin, later lots of weizen aroma with straight wheat the most present. Good beer!

ON tap; this has to be my first light hefeweizen. Color was a cloudy, ruddy gold. Aroma of banana and sweet malt. Aroma was definitely top notch for a light version of the style. Flavor was sweet, but a bit dull. Better than expected.

Bottle: Cloudy, firm beaten-egg-white like foam, orangey coloured; solid aroma of bananas and cloves with a sourish-wheaty background; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light bodied without being watery; almost lingering bananaey-clovey finish with sourish-wheaty notes in the afzertaste. Quite tasty for a beer of 3.3%...........

50cl bottle @ Munchen. Pours hazy pale yellow with a small white creamy foam. Nose is mild of wheat, grain, citrus and banana. Medium to smooth palate. Lots of grain. Ends dry. A very fine Leichtes Hefe.
