Notes of dark fruits. There are many better Hefeweizen out there. pxlmusic (2), marietta, Georgia, USA does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2009 Have enjoyed this both on draft at Zum Schneider in NYC and in the bottle.
This is a shining example of a balanced wheat beer. yemenmocha (426), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 17, 2009 Pours an atypical brown color with tan head. Normally these weissbiers are more golden in color, so it is hard to not subtract for this - but the head is weak too.
Nose and palate offer a clean, wheat-forward ale with the usual banana-clove interplay and a soft brownbread toasty finish. Easty to drink. Tripplebrew (502), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2009 Pours a cloudy brown sugar orange with thick cream-colored foam. Aroma is nutty pine hops with spicey notes. Flavor is creamy hazelnut vanilla with mild hops. Body is light yet creamy with high carbonation. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 16, 2009 Beautiful color: Deep cloud hazy amber brown. Aroma is suprising. Strong clove and nutmeg, spicy. Bananas and vanilla in there too. Flavor is a tad more fruity, but it still carries the spiced notes. It finishes a bit sour like they say, but it is quite bubbly and carbonated. Spices definetely come through on the flavor. Wonderfully drinkable, easily complex. All around just a great beer, enjoyable. PJClarke (710), London, Greater London, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2009 Chocolatey and almost murky. A little gross looking once the noble head disappears.
Big banana from the yeast with something a little tingly along the lines of eucaltyptus but very mild. Slightly vine-tomato-like.
On the tongue it is again nicely herbal. Something lightly spicy too. Caramel is very apparent with a nice clovey nasal hit in the finish.
Very smooth and slick. Tiny hints at carbonation. Sweet all round but lightly ofset by the bready wholesome flavour.
A great Hefe. Moreish and interesting. sebletitje (1997), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours clear brown, thick off white head.
Aroma is yeasty, thick grainy.
Taste, notes of dark fruits, yeasty, grains, light bitter spicy finish, light notes of malts with a delicious Hefe mouthfeel.
