Jan 26, 2009 Large bottle into weizen glass. Bottle is probably past fresh, but I’ll give it a shot anyway. I was not expecting it to look like this! Its way darker than I was expecting. It does not look like any Hefe I’ve seen. Almost like sewage water in color and consistency (brown and cloudy). Big, thick, white, creamy head. Aroma is spicy, maybe a tad skunky due to age of bottle. However, I am picking up on cloves and banana. Spicey. Banana and clove in the mouth. High carbonation sensation. Watery. Not as bad as I was expecting due to the color, it was pretty good. However, I’m sure the quality was diminished due to age. I’ll need to try this one fresh somewhere soon!

Jan 20, 2009 [50ml bottle from Morrisons.] Murky amber in colour with a thick billowing cream head; sour wheat and yeast aroma; creamy mouthfeel; banana, cinnamon and candy flavours with lots of sweet chewy malts; banana and cream for afters. Very drinkable.

Jan 18, 2009 Slightly cloudy, dark yellow hue.
Malty aroma with citrus and banana, some bubblegum and floral notes. Wheat and yeast are apparent. Beautiful!
Flavours are sweet, and are of caramelised banana, some toffee malt.
Wheat is present in the flavours, with some caramel and clove. Excellent!

Jan 17, 2009 THis is my first hefe weizen. It pours a pale hazey yellow color. I can taste apple yeast hops. Smooth. I had a slice of old cheddar cheese with this and I found taste was very enhanced, very enjoyable.

Jan 14, 2009 One of the best hefeweizens I’ve ever had.
Pours a dark cloudy brown with a frothy cream-coloured head. Nice lacing.
Aroma is cloves, coriander and spices. Wheat is upfront in the nose and a lot of sweet malt in the background.
The taste is a lot of coriander and clove and is a very well balanced hefeweizen. Not overly sweet with a pleasant herbal hop profile that isn’t overpowering. Yeast comes through in the taste also.
Mouthfeel is pretty thin with a medium to high carbonation which makes this beer very refreshing.
The best hefeweizen that I’ve had so far. This beer alone made me love the style. Goes great with pea soup.

Jan 7, 2009 Pours cloudy yellow with a decent amount of head. Aroma is subdued with some fruit and yeast. Flavor is similar. Clean finish, but not a lot going on. Not bad, but not a lot to talk about.

Jan 2, 2009 0.5L bottle, hazy brown to copper colour with some yellow taints. Vanila aroma with hints of barnyard spice and some vinous notes. Flavours of bubblegum and vanila over a strong but not overpowering bitter backbone with some sourness leading to a plaeasant spicey aftertaste, body is medium to full. Smooth, full of character weizen.
