Oct 26, 2008 Shared w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/bananas/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice. Not as clove/banana as most Hefs I’ve tried. I would actually seek this one out.

Oct 26, 2008 This pours very dark with a good fruity aroma. There is not a lot of cloves in this beer compared to some others but has all the other tastes that a complex wheat beer does.

Oct 25, 2008 Pours a cloudy iced-tea colour out of the bottle with a white head that dissapates to the edge of my glass fairly quickly. Aroma is of apples, cloves and a touch of citrus. Tastes of cloves and oranges, has a touch of bitterness and then finishes slightly sour.

Oct 24, 2008 Pours hazy peach with lively carbonation and rambunctious white head. Aroma is orange peel, lemon grass, and grapefruit along with a gamut of other citrus delicacies. Clove and allspice abound. Flavor is delicate and sweet with decent malt character for the style. Palate is caressing and smooth, although a tad on the thinner side. An excellent representation of the style- would make a great summer sipper!

Oct 13, 2008 Bottle. Slightly cloudy copper pour with a nice white head. Aroma of bread, bananas and yeast. Taste of yeast, faint spices, caramel and some tangy citrus. A little thin on the palate.

Oct 11, 2008 Bottle, 500ml. A cloudy bronze colour with a good head. A good aroma of wheat, banana and yeast. Taste has plenty of wheat and malt with clove, banana and citrus. Moderate carbonation. An enjoyable hefe.

Oct 10, 2008 Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml or 1 pint .9oz bottle into a weizen glass.
Appearance: It had a dark bronze color like a Dunkelweizen. The body was hazy and had some visible carbonation. It produced a thick billowy head that was cloudy white in color and had good retention and slick lacing.
Smell: The aroma had a fruity yeasty character that stood out over hints of wheat malt.
Taste/Mouth feel: It is very smooth and creamy on the palate with soft carbonation and a good solid medium body. The flavor has a big solid malty presence with creamy wheat, sweet bready and lightly toasted caramel notes. Flavor notes of fruity yeast, banana and clove are present and well balanced. Its hop flavor is very mild and it finishes fairly crisp and balanced.
Notes: Overall I enjoyed its wonderful deep malty flavor and drinkability.
