Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml or 1 pint .9oz bottle into a weizen glass. Appearance: It had a dark bronze color like a Dunkelweizen. The body was hazy and had some visible carbonation. It produced a thick billowy head that was cloudy white in color and had good retention and slick lacing. Smell: The aroma had a fruity yeasty character that stood out over hints of wheat malt. Taste/Mouth feel: It is very smooth and creamy on the palate with soft carbonation and a good solid medium body. The flavor has a big solid malty presence with creamy wheat, sweet bready and lightly toasted caramel notes. Flavor notes of fruity yeast, banana and clove are present and well balanced. Its hop flavor is very mild and it finishes fairly crisp and balanced. Notes: Overall I enjoyed its wonderful deep malty flavor and drinkability.

Bottle. Enjoyable, easy drinking hefe with plenty of complexity in aroma and flavor. The body is hazy, medium amber in color with a big, frothy, off-white head that sticks around. The aroma is filled with banana, orange and spice with notes of caramel and grain (toasted bread) and a few hints of overripe fruit, particularly pear and plum. The flavor is moderately sweet, but the finish turns lightly bitter. Still some light sweetness sticks around the whole sip. Medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation, but one the smooths out the mouthfeel. Nicely done.
