Jul 27, 2008 Bottled. Mahogany coloured, dark for a hefeweizen, with a short-lived yet decent, foamy head. Sweet caramel aroma with plenty of yeast and some cloves. Full flavoured with some bananas, spice and grain before a decent bitter finish, that was unusual for this type of beer. tried alongside the Weihenstephaner hefe and held its own - good stuff.

Jul 26, 2008 0,3 l tap at The Wharf, Aalborg. Slightly hazy amber color, nice white head. Aroma is citric with bananas, wheat and some spices. Flavor is the same, with a mild acidic finish. Fine carbonation.

Jul 25, 2008 bottle bought at oddies- pours hazy light brown, golden orange red. very beautiful. head disperses quite fast. nose is bubble gum. dampened earth. mud. and some berries. fizzy sparkling mouthfeel, with fruit berries through out. and cola flavours. a lot lighter than the hopfen weisse but still quite enjoyable. 3.6 definite 3.6.

Jul 22, 2008 Pours a really hazy and deep amber with a nice fluffy head, that settles down a bit, but pretty decent lacing. Lots of the expected hefeweizen scents - banana, clove, spice, citrus...nice. Taste is not too carbonated, but spicy and a bit alcoholic, even though it’s just 5.4%. Perhaps the first weizen I ever tried (years ago), but still the one the rest are compared to. One of my favourites...although admittedly a bit heavy.

Jul 20, 2008 darker than any Hefe I’ve ever had, had a pleasant weizen nose, fruity and a little spicy. Smooth with the classical acidity. Nevertheless not the beer for me.

Jul 1, 2008 0.5l at a terrace in Tilburg. I recommend you this place called ’t Buitenbeentje, €2,80 for 0.5l, very cheap. I’m not very experienced with German Hefeweizens, but based on this one I can say: I like it. Smooth taste with less banana than the other ones I had. Nice beer!

Aroma: Wheat (obviously).
Taste: Very wheaty. Hint of banana. Not my thing.

Am I the only one not liking this one? I am not big on wheat beers, and did not like this one at all.
