Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

0.5L bottle in a wheat beer glass - Pours a cloudy light amber color with fairly large fluffy white head. Aroma is full of cloves, light caramel, touch of bananna, bit of lemon. Flavor is fairly malty, yeasty, definite bananna, light caramel. Finish is balanced. Fairly highly carbonated. Very nice overall, though a bit dark it seems to me for the style.

Aroma is a little sour; yeast yields spice, clove, and some sweaty characteristics. The aroma kinda of reminds me of eating capers. Flavor: It’s kinda watered down, a characteristic which I’ve found to be all too common in Hefes. Flavor has a lot of clove sitting around in the background. A bit acidic leaving a nice dry finish that’s almost tart.

Pours a deep amber color with an awesome soapy white head. The aroma is full of apple, cloves, and general wheaty spice. The flavor I must admit is a little bit disappointing - the apple comes through nicely, fading into a very pleasant yet bitter green apple/sourdough bread finish. While this is all good, the flavor is pretty straightforward and one dimensional; not quite as lively as a great hefe should be. The mouthfeel is similarly lacking - while the beer is relatively full bodied and very drinkable, the carbonation is a bit lacking. This beer doesn’t have the lively combination of spice/carbonation that I really enjoy in a hefeweizen. This is a good beer (I especially like the unique apple flavor), but not my favorite example of the style.

Probably not the kind of beer you would prefer to enjoy with a nice home-cooked meal of chicken parmesean (not that it wasn’t quite delectable) but either way, a tasty, tasty brew. When your nose is pressed less than an inch from the head, once poured, it gives off aromas that are of wheat and bananas, and slightly of vinegar alcohol making me squint after a good sniff. Once tasted, a soft carbonation complements the flavors of the drink which are first slightly of apple, then of banana and a hint of honey, with a bitter finish. Not bad at all, not on the level of Schneider Weisse’s Aventinus...

Pours a cloudy amber with a fine head. Aroma is of banana esters, wheat and malt. Medium body with sweet citrus and banana flavours through to the tart finish. A little too light for my liking.

Nice light bouquet of cloves and banana with a slight hint of fermenting vinegar alcohol. Was’nt impressed with the quick dissipating head not even a lace on the glass. Large bubble size would sum that up. Cloudy rust in color. What I like to do is before the bottle is empty I leave just a little of the elixir and swirl the contents to get the wheat that settled off the bottom. Taste was a little to light for me. And even though Hefeweizen is my fav. This one has a nice wet mouthy feel but a little to wet for my likes. Not a real true hefe in my opinion. Could be more considered a light hefe. I’m just taking taste, but it does pack the punch of hefe. Putting all things aside I like it but it would be last resort if I can get better.

0.5l bottle. Pours a cream golden brown, with a smallish head. Little visible carbonation. The strong aroma is wonderful. Banana, citrus, wheat, yeast and some nuts. Palette slightly sour and bitter at the same time, yet smooth, and leaves the tongue tingling, but is a little oily. Taste is fantastic. Elements of banana, nuts, yeast, cloves. Absolutely fantastic.
