Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Cloudy orange-brown with a thick light head. The aroma is mostly bready, yeasty wheat smell. Some spicy, clove I guess. Fruity, too, some banana and lemon. The fruit is there in the taste as well, but more spiciness, a little tart too. It’s pretty full-bodied for a wheat.

Bottle 50cl. Long lasting head, brown body, nose cloves and muscate. A true classic, overwhelming impression.

Pours dark and muddy, soapy head at dissipates. Yeasty nose, smooth bodied. Well balanced. Very drinkable. I was expecting a lot from this brewery, having Aventinus before, and they met my expectations.

Thick white head; darker than usual color for a hefe; cloves, bread, bananas in the taste; very sweet, refreshing, and drinkable though the aftertaste is a little bitter/sour.

Medium white head. Hazy opaque brown body. Chalky, yeasty, banana aroma with citric notes and hints of herbal licorice. Chalky yeasty banana taste with, again, citric herbal notes. Typical, soft wheaty mouthfeel with a kind of chalky feel to it. Dry, herbal, lemony aftertaste. Nice, but not terribly special. (0.5l bottle at Cardinal.)

Dark colour and large head. Bitter taste at first but eases a little as beer settles. Definately better than Paulaner. You will not be disappointed.

Amber-mahogany with big, foamy white head / Banana and spice nose / Medium body, a touch watery, with fine and lively carbonation and light but decent finish / Restrained flavors of banana, orange, apple, nutmeg, and coriander / Fine but unremarkable.
