Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Pours to a murky yeast filled darker amber-brown body with a mostly lasting 1 cm frothy white head. The aroma is very yeasty. Wheat bread, bananas, esters. The flavor is wheat bread, yeasty, carbonated mineral water, bananas, and cloves. Very nicely balanced. The palate is medium-light bodied, significantly carbonated, and nicely textured. A little drying as my mouth is left watering. Something in the aroma is really enticing. Almost like it has a dash of nutty tobacco. Very good. Sampled side-by-side with Schneider Brooklyner.

Excellent color and sticky head. A little bitter than I’m used to on the Hefes. Sticky sour finish.

Golden-bronze pour, with a lovely head. Rich aroma. A pleasant banana and clove flavour, with very subtle citrus tones. Nice thickness. Goes well with a meal, or dessert.

As hefe as they come, murky brown beer - on tap at Düsseldorf airport. This is the real thing, a very aromatic beer. Banana, citrus, cereals. This is not a trendy beer, I suppose this is made just like a century ago. At the same time ti is drinkable for everyone. Every airport should have a decent beer like this.

Fad. Superlækker hvede. Mørk uklar med et udemærket hoved. Klassiske noter af banan og kløver i munden, med et fint bid. Superlækker.

Dark golden / amber pour, some bubbles and a medium white head. Odd color for a hefe. Sweet banana wheat aroma. Flavor is very mellow, light. Like a bananas foster... ok but since the flavors are so mellow eventually all you have is a sugary taste overwhelming everything else. Alcohol finish...

A nice twist on the traditional German style Hefeweizen. Its slightly darkened to a medium brown color, with very nice attributes; good head formation, retention, and lacing. The aromas of banana, clove, and wheat is good. The taste also carries a nice little note of burnt toast on the finish. Would be much, much better if it were slightly thicker, viscous, and more full bodied.
