Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Bottle: pour starts nice with big bubbles and a stark white big head. Bannana, clove and bubble gum flavors and smells. Just a tad dark for a Hef but a nice beer all around.

16 oz in a .5 L weizen glass. Darker than the other hefe’s I’ve been drinking. Nice and cloudy, big frothy white head that settles down to a thin line. A lot more carbonated than, say, a Paulaner. Fizzy. Nice. Not so sweet and banana (in my estimation) more malty than fruity. A rich, tasty beer. I prefer the more banana and sweet smelling hefe’s like a Fransizkaner, but this one is nice, and I’ll buy (and drink) more.

Pours orangey amber, with a great steamed milk head. Attractive effervescence. Aroma is strongly of bananas with a little yeast and nutmeg. Flavour is also strong on bananas and yeast. Well balanced spices and clove round out the flavour.

One of the better-looking hefeweizens, the head is exceptional. Muddy-colored, opaque from ample yeast sediments. Fruity and spicy aroma, imparted by the creamy head. Initial taste is heavy on the citrus: with orange, lemon and also fennel detectable. Nice beer: don’t serve it too cold!

Draft at Weissbrauhaus, munich. Dark hazy orange-brown with white head. Is really good. Smooth carbonation. The tap version of this is great! The banana is more apparent than in the helles weizen. The body is big with a great palate. World class gold standard. 4-6-5-8-16

cloudy amber gold with large frothy head. very traditional wheat flavors and aromas. fruit is more pronounced than cloves, and apple is a little more than in most wheats. traditional and a great example of the style

Amber pour with a steady head. Aroma is of typical bananas. Flavor is the same with some nice bready maltiness. Very easy to drink.

Bottle conditioned and courtesy of the LCBO. Burnished copper appearance, with a frothy white head. Wheat and banana in the aroma. Lovely fresh wheat taste in a flavour accented with spices and yeastiness. Crisp finish and refreshing.

50cL bottle. Pours a dark, hazy amber colour, darker than traditional hefes. Still has some citrus and banana in the aroma andflavour. Well done.
