This has a fruity-fresh taste with a definite wheat flavor. Very enjoyable Dacrza (253), Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 24, 2007 500ml bottle...picture perfect brownish-orange (yeah, it’s Cleveland f-ball season soon!) with a head that thickly sits and dissipates evenly...clove is evident and pleasant, and I have (as seemingly always with weizens) a hint of banana?....the mouthfeel may be among the softest I’ve sampled...the refeshing aspect of this beer is difficult to quantify...a brilliantly drinkable beer, more than at home in the humid August evenings... | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 15, 2007 Purs out quite a dark brown-amber with a medium, loose head. Slight hefeweizen banana fermentation characteristics with some spice, wheat malt, and caramel. Flavor is very similar though a bit amped up with some additional fruit. Quite light and somewhat thin despite all that’s going on here--though it does still manage to maintain good balance. This is a good beer: subtle, reserved, and somewhat austere for the style--not a bad thing. dyetube (417), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2007 This is my 200th rating! This beer pours a cloudy amber/deep brown with a large off white head leaving no lacing down the sides. There is a light aroma of cloves, bananas, and coriander. The taste is emulates this too! Although, like the previous poster said, the flavors do fall off very quickly which I didn’t like. But all in all this is a very good beer. Cheers! patty26 (95), New York, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2007 Muddy amber color that lightens towards the bottom of the glass. Fluffy white head that has pretty decent staying power. Aroma is of yeast and cloves. Mouthfeel is relatively soft meaning little lasting carbonation. The taste is disappointing. It tastes like a Paulaner Light (if something like that existed).
