Commercial Description:
With its amber-mahogany coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine, persistent head that adheres well to the glass. It is pleasantly fruity with a typical top-fermented smell, an aroma of clove and nutmeg apple tantalizes the nose. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, full-bodied, harmonious and well-balanced. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a sour impression.

Bottle. Cloudy orange/golen color, very nice lasting offwhite head. Banana aroma, with quite alot of whipped cream, citrus notes, some grapes and notes of wheat. Some yeast and bubblegum. Fruity, spicy flavor, banana, citrus, apple notes. Some pear and grapes. Wheat notes and a pleasant finish. Definately one of my favourite wheat beer, bnut it could have been bringing a lil more body.

Rated 11/9/06: Definately one of my favorite hefe’s. Awesome dark golden orange color deeper than any I’ve seen. Gigantic pillowy head with subtle lacing. Very cloudy, it just looks inviting. Prominant well balanced aroma of banana and citrus with spicy cloves. Flavor follows the delicious aroma with a thick malt content. Smooth to the palate but I get a watery thinness at the end, not too detrimental but it holds back the overall feel. Wonderful wheat costs about a buck more than my other favorite but well worth it.

Bottle from West Lakeview Liquors. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. Wheaty aroma citrus, orange, and bananna. Creamy flavors from the wheat. Strong bananna and citrus notes but an all around yeasty wheaty flavor that holds it together. Maybe it has something to do with me going to Munich soon, but my appreciation for the German and especially wheat beers is really growing.

Dark golden amber colour with a fine thin head that has decent retention. The aroma starts off strong but settles down, it is a very fruity smell with some notes of spices and yeast. Flavours of banana, with some spicey notes and a light warm wheaty finish. A pretty decent beer.

Beautiful in the glass, with a nice murky blur that really makes me believe there is a lot going on. The smell is typical for this style and is ever so inviting. The taste is a little thin, but wickedly refreshing and easy going down. The finish is just ho-hum, but the after-taste is is pleasant. A super, fantastic session beer that is fun to pound all night and, because of the purity laws in Germany, not to difficult to recover from the next day. One of my favorite German beers. Cheers
