Aroma is quite sweet, can smell a moderate amount of banana, with a bit of vanilla and a peanut aroma as well. Taste is quite sweet as well, mild fruitiness at first taste, which subsides to a bit of a nutty finish. Overall, a nice, enjoyable, refreshing beer. BustedFlat (553), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2007 Poured from a 500ml bottle into a weizen glass, amber with a thick white head. Aroma was pronounced with notes of clove, banana and yeast. The flavor was more subtle, with hints of banana and wheat bread. Very smooth and drinkable. redlight (1475), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2007 Nice banana and clove on the nose, some caramlization. Pours a light brown/dark amber with a big white head that seems like its here to stay. A little dryer than i remember? Some nice banana and citrus up front, with some spices, nutmeg, cinamon. Crisp hop flavor and then dry orange flavor in the finish. I still prefer the Edel Weisse, but this is a classic! Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina

Cloudy yellow color with a nice, medium, bubbly white head. HUGE phenollic aroma, some cloves, spicy. Heavy clove flavor, with a phenollic tang, beatifull, almost as the real thing, banana ending. Medium MF, drinkable and solid. Non compromising true Heffe Weizen. Dickinsonbeer (3451), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 29, 2007 .5 liter bottle. Pours darker than most hefe’s- deep muddy, hazy deep coppery with a massive fluffy head and great lacing. Aroma is skewed more on the phenolic side with lots of clove but only a bit of vanilla- banana is almost non-existant- lots of wheat breadiness and some light herbla hop notes. Nice bready doughy wheat flavor with the clove and some vanilla, and a clean very light tart finish. Smooth as hell and great spring and summer drinking beer. One of my favorite Hefeweizens. Without hestation he said Schneider. Took it home and WOW. The aromas are all about bananas. The flavor is banana cream pie with vanilla wafers. Finishs clean and crisp. My favorite Hefe-weizen to date. Mart (211), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
