mekju_baksa (9), Houston, Texas, USA does not count Sep 4, 2008 Pint on tap. Hazy amber with a mellow smooth flavor and a spicy nose. Someone else mentioned banana and grapefruit notes... we agree. Went very well with the bratwurst plate we were having. EHopper (129), Minnesota, USA Sep 4, 2008 Pours a kind of unappetizing color of clear motor oil. Pleasant, banana baby food and coriander spice aroma. Easy drinking, bright flavor to match. A bit watery, but refreshing. PaulHegedus (64), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Sep 1, 2008 500ml bottle pours a cloudy reddish brown with a generous head, moderate aroma: caramel, hint of banana, hint too of chocolate. Flavour of apple, caramel; mouthfeel is watery. jfb (42), Freising, Germany Sep 1, 2008 (bottle) murky golden-brown colour, firm white head. aroma has pronounced banana esters, cloves, a subtle hop spiciness and light hints of roast and coffee. flavour has a strong wheat base, cloves, hazelnut, hop spices, roasted coffee. pleasantly modest carbonation, well-rounded medium body, not too sweet. rkuhnel (1100), Eureka, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 From a 500 ml bottle that cost $4.05 from the North Coast Coop in Arcata, CA this poured a cloudy yellow with a very large white head and great lacing. Nose is of ripe fruit, mostly banana. Smooth silky mouthfeel. Flavor is lively and of banana and some yeast. Very refreshing and easy to drink.
