Commercial Description:
With its light-honey coloring and streaked with fine top-fermented yeast, this beer has a fine-pored, stable head. It has a fresh, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. On the tongue it is fresh, clean, harmonious and smoothly rounded. It finishes with a light, delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a spritzig-sour impression.

Bottle. Aroma is spicy, but also seems old, moldy. Cloudy, pale yellow colour. Big stable white head. Flavour starts off spicy, turning acidic. Skunky and spicy aftertaste.

Cloudy light brown color.Slight banana presence in the aroma, but it is very subtle. Head is creamy but small. Flavors is slightly fruity, though not as much aso as some other Heffe Weizens. Not bad, but not great either.

Tried same night as Weihenstephaner Kristall. This one looked and felt fuller mouthfull. Looking forward to rerating it same time as Original Schneiderweisse.

Fully hazy yellow, with peach shine; small white head. Banana and cloves, bit smoky, sweet aromas. Cloves, fusels, and dry orange, wheat in the taste. Velvety wheat feel, grist, medium bodied, warming from the fusels, yet refreshing. This IS the standard Weizen. Likeable, but not really great.

Lovely hints of fruit and cloves with the sort of bite that makes your thankful for tastebuds. This brew is an excellent example of German craftmanship.

500 ml bottle, bought in Germany. ABV is 5.2%. Hazy golden colour, large head. Lovely weissbier aroma, plenty of cloves, some banana too but not as much as in some other hefes. Cloves also in the flavour, which is light bodied, refreshing and not too sweet. A slightly lemony finish. A very enjoyable hefe!

Bottled. Mainly spicy cloves aroma, but also some subliminal banana and yeast notes. Tastes yeasty and spicy with a quite prominent citricity and tartness. The type of weizen that begs to be drunk on a hot day in the beergarden. No flaws in appearance or body. Quite delicious.

Dark cloudy gold. Puffy head that died rather quickly. Slight yeast flavor. Bubblegum flavor but not very citrusy so I’ll have to ding it a tad. Very enjoyable. If Live Oak isn’t going to bottle their hefe anytime soon; I’ll be drinking this one until they finally do so. Really a very good hefe., IMO
