50cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy dark brown with ample tan head. Nose is bananas, citrus, wheat, bread, hints of chocolate. Flavor is slightly roasty, a lot of banana, and some bread. Short banana bread finish. Slight carbonation. Typical dunkelweizen.

I expected a darker beer for a dunkel. Nice head, very yeasty aroma, and flavor. Banana, as in most hefes, and a light body with a small citric touch and some spices.

0.5 l bottle (BB 02/2009), thanks jukkabro! Hazy mahagony color with creamy head. Sweetish bready and slightly toasty aroma with vanilla, banana and clove. Bready, honeyish and spicy and flavor with vanilla, banana, clove, toasted bread and yeasty bitterness. One of the better dunkel weizens. The finish is unpleasantly yeasty but it might be due to old bottle.

500 ml bottle. pours a big, thick, tan head. aroma of banana, clove, wheat, sweet malts. cloudy, dark brown slightly red body. Sweet but crisp flavor with a slight bitterness, still taste the banana in the flavor. Overall not bad, dunkelweizen is one of my favorite styles and it’s hard to go wrong with a german one, though i’ve had better.

Draft in Cologne. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a large head. Aroma is wheat and slight banana. Flavor is slightly sweet, a little chocolate, medium bitterness finish. First dunkelweizen i’ve had, definitely enjoyed and looking to try some more to compare.

Bottle. The creamy white large head has along duration, the body is dark red. The aroma is malty and light fruity, a little bit of bananas. The first taste is light sweet, then it gets a little bit more bitter. The duration is rather short. The beer is rather light, a little bit creamy and unfortunately also a little bit watery. A nice beer, but not more...

500ml bottle. Hazy brown pour with a white head. Sweet caramel bready banana aroma. Sweet lavor as well, a little thin compared to the aroma, decent.
