(Bottle). Brown hazy with a big and creamy beige head. Sweet aroma of apple, banana, candy, and scents of coffee. Flavor is bittersweet, of roasted malt, fruity, and wheat. Smooth texture and light to medium body.

Bottle 50cl. A very dry hefeweizen, dark roasted malt flavors are overwhelming and too much in my opinion. Not a must have.

I like dark hefeweizens, but this one not. Too raostmalty aroma, tastes also too malty and dry. The worst beer of the Schöfferhofer-family.

bottle - Pours hazy brown and has a light yeast and malt aroma. It’s a medium bodied beer with a sweet, yeasty flavor. It’s smooth and drinkable, but nothing special, just a very average example of the style.

Biggish offwhite head. Hazy opaque brown body. Roasty earthy banana aroma. Neutral roasty banana taste, very weak, just barely detectable. Earthy metal notes. Signature ash background is just perceptible. Medium body. Papery aftertaste. (0.5l bottle at Zill’s Tunnel, Leipzig.)

Bottle. Unclear, orange-brown body with a dense, beige head on top. Banana, caramel and a touch of butterscotch on the nose. The same goes for the flavor, but the butterscotch is a bit more subdued here, and there are some cloves as well. It’s quite fizzy in the mouth, medium fullness, and finishes slightly sweetish. The carbonation level hides the flavor too much, else it is a quite nice and quaffable beer. (070806)
